Having finished up the latest round of edits on Hybrid Space, I'm starting this morning with editing book 3 of Fallenwood - Betrayer.
Fallenwood is dark. It's not your average fantasy. It deals with the themes of death, suicide, identity crisis, and now...betrayal. The old adage goes, "Write what you know". Well, this book has been a little difficult in the making. It strikes a little close to home, but part of me is relying on the catharsis that writing can provide, both to readers and authors.
In searching for an image for this topic, I saw one that reads "Death before Betrayal". I can't agree more. When the events surrounding being betrayed in real life happened, I would rather have died than gone through the things I had to endure.
Ultimately, I suppose something has come out of the betrayal - I AM FEARLESS. Is that a good thing? A bad thing? Hell if I know. But like a sword that has been tempered by fire, here I am.
